Mystery Market
Today was the day a family traveled to an Island covered by mist on a rickety boat. The small craft was anything but a boat, it had wheels which rode the railway track! It was a sight to behold, the sail was dark blue and stretched to the extreme because the wind had picked up. Billy in his white pristine sailor suit was excited. The last time he went to the special market, which happens every four years, was at the age of five. The journey was long but made easier with the breeze, until a huge gust of wind ripped the sail from the wheeled craft. They were all stranded, only a few yards away from the Island. Billy lept into action! He was determined to get them all to the mystery market. He pushed the little vessel with as much power he could muster in his tiny arms.
Observing from the sandy beach was a huge gentleman. He was watching the debacle that was ahead of him, and concerned for the family trying to make the Island before getting swept away by the massive storm.
Billy was struggling against the wind and making little progress towards the desired destination. Waves were lapping up around his feet, causing him to slip aggressively on the enormous sleepers. A gentle hand reached for his small arm and helped him to stand once again. The same hand started to push the craft with ease alongside Billy. A rumble of thunder sounded in the distance. The family gasped in shock!
People had gathered along the shoreline staring in horror, as a simple trip was becoming a rescue. Once on shore, the family gathered around Billy. The tall man had raised him in his gigantic arms and grinned from cheek to cheek. Billy responded with a half smile before collapsing.
It was a shame Billy missed the first day, which disappointed him. His Dad grabbed him by his scrawny arms and placed him on his broad shoulders, ready to make the most of the next few days. While up at a great height, Billy hugged his Dad's head and thanked him for his assistance the previous day.
A marvelous time with magical memories to treasure for all time were made from the market. Billy along with his family left with huge smiles and a desire to return some day.
There is just one thing you should remember about the mystery market: memories are made and forgotten! Until four years draw back around, and we join the worn out railway once again!
Please follow the signs and never look back from where you arrived and departed…
